excel problems need to load on desktop not onedrive

Windows Central Question

I have my files on desktop but cannot open them on desktop. keeps referring me to one drive. I would like to have my excel files on the desktop. Each time i go online that takes away from my internet. I would like to have my excel files where I do not access the internet. Please help me. Thank you.

do you have excel installed?
Additionally, if you want your excel files stored locally, download them from onedrive and move them to desktop
In the excel program, make sure that default save location is your pc > desktop and not onedrive
