Exploit

Haven't seen it on my screen yet. Hopefully it gets resolved soon. Either that or the site was sold to Samsung and no one told us.

I saw that a few times, I haven't seen it recently though. You run the ads through a translator and it doesn't make sense at all what it says.

It started again yesterday I was busy before I could get to taking a screenshot it went away. I think they are trying to fix the tapitalk login bug and they are breaking other things.

I saw it in the desktop view of the site on my mobile device, but I haven't seen it in my desktop PC browser (Firefox).

They fixed the Tapatalk login bug. I'm able to use any of the sites' forums now on the AT&T LTE network. It was a PITA to need WiFi for Tapatalk. If I'm on WiFi it usually means I'm on a PC and don't need a mobile device or mobile app.

Another complaint. He mentioned malware, so I PM'ed him asking him for proof of malware. I'll also post it over at Mobile Nations.

Addendum: I see Laura already posted it at Mobile Nations.
I've never picked up any malware from any Mobile Nations sites, but I used to be active on Pinstack and my AV caught a trojan that was infecting Pinstack's forums. I left Pinstack for good after that happened. (I still am listed as a member there, but I don't visit or post.)

Did you ever get your proof?

Not yet, but I sent the PM at 12:49am.

I did run a few test on the website and found no malware. If you google, "How can I tell if a website is safe?" There's a few online test that can be ran. I do realize that some malware is extremely hard to detect. An IT friend of mine who is in charge of the Mac computers at St. Olaf College, told me about an incident on Windows computers where the malware was so sophisticated, you had to boot into the safe mode to be able to detect it.

I've found no evidence of malware either so far. Kind of an inappropriate post from an ambassador if you ask me.

So take it up in a message to James instead of a public threatening to quit in a dogpile thread.

Yup that's a bs thread. I have commented. You should also know mase asked me to give him a letter of recommendation. He is thinking of applying for a job with Amazon as a forums moderator. I refused to comment on his ability to be a moderator. I explained that I would write something and comment on his ambassador work but not mod duties. He is not a moderator here. He is already pissed at me and it's starting to show in his posts.

I had no idea that Amazon had a forum.

It's possible he wanted me to write the letter so he could use it to push me into making him a moderator here. You know I write him a great letter then he says if that's what you think than why not make me a mod here. Either way my opinion is he would not be a good moderator.

Doesn't appear to be stopping in that thread. But then he never thinks he's wrong.
