Hello,
Since taking the Anniversary update, I am unable to consistently connect to my external monitor via an HDMI adapter.
The issue first presented yesterday, but a restart allowed me to connect. Today, I have been completely unable to connect even after restarting. Tech support just had some remote time with my computer, and was unable to make anything work. The Tech first suggested that the HDMI cable was no longer supported by Microsoft, and then when I balked at buying a Microsoft-certified cable, he suggested I wipe my machine. Because performing a wipe will somehow make the cable supported again?
At any rate, this cable and adapter worked flawlessly before the Anniversary update, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this or can offer anything to try.
If it's helpful to know, I have the 256/8 GB i5 model.
Thanks in advance.
