I think that's deliberate, since my iPhone does that too. :(

Does anyone with Windows Phone 8.1 have an issue where some Facebook events are doubled in the calendar? Meaning, an event displays twice. It seems to happen whether I'm attending or not, whether I clicked on the link to the event from inside the calendar or in the app (or on my computer). It only happens to some events and there doesn't seem to be anything common between them. On one of the events I got it to stop doubling for a time by hitting "not attending" on the event and then changing it back to "going," but it just doubled itself again.

It doesn't really affect usability for me (there is that nagging voice that is really bothered by the symbol for overlapping events on the calendar live tile), but I'd like to fix it if I can. Thoughts?

You have events in your Outlook account turned on. It co-opts Facebook settings when you allowed the OS to access Facebook. Turn it off in calendar settings.

I fixed it by uninstalling then reinstalling the Facebook app (and I have that option turned off anyway). I'll keep that in mind for the future though. :)

Is anyone else getting an error on accessing their news feed almost every time they open up their facebook app? I'm using the beta, and it has been happening almost 65-70 percent of the time I have opened the app lately.

Yeah I don't understand why the app is like this. What baffles me is that when it shows someone has commented on something and then it doesn't show what it was. I mean what is the point in having that show up in the news feed if it does nothing of use.

This is about the FB messenger app, so I apologise if this is for FB only, but when I look at battery sense for messenger I notice there is not check box to allow FB messenger to run in the background with Battery Saver active. Does anyone know if this means it will run in the background regardless of battery saver?

I ask because I woke up this morning with a completely flat battery after leaving it at 70% last night and the only thing I was using was Messenger. And as I have discovered previously, both FB and FB Messenger don't always close when I use the back key.

I am getting sick of this Facebook app as I am unable to see most of my friends' posts online and I had to be forced to look on mobile version using IE. Please Microsoft! Fix this!

Its hopeless at this point. They obviously dont care or listen to suggestions. Why cant i even share something to page i own? Very simple... So much so iOS and Android allow it.

I've given up on the official and beta of this app. Relying on JDB's Facebook for ALL posts including foursquare check-ins, instagram posts, and even album comments (not just photo comments).

Or at least Facebook Metro does a better job than this official/beta app.

So messages are no longer supported in the FB app. Telling me i have to download FB messenger. Really annoyed with this, I don't want the stupid messenger app, i was quite happy with it in the app.

I like the new update supporting photo comments, but there's a new problem.
Every time you open Facebook/Beta, the news feed automatically refreshes. Now, it does refresh but the new posts don't show up. It's just a white blank screen with the tabs on the top and bottom. Bit frustrating.
