Facebook not closing

Noticed that since 8.1 when backing out of the Facebook app, the app doesn't seem to close, using multitasking it stays open even when spamming the back button, noticed the calendar does the same. Any way to stop this as FB seems to be the main battery drain on my 920

The back button's behaviour has been changed in 8.1 compared to 8. This is common.
