If you haven't already noticed the Facebook update on your marketplace or if you uninstalled the old version because it was slow, it's time to give it another shot.

The app loads much faster now which seems to be the result of background loading content once the UI is presented, but this hasn't affected the responsiveness, in fact it's far more responsive than before.
A bug where if you clicked the word "status" in your notifications seems to have been fixed and you do now get taken to that status.
Finally they've added full places support so you can now check in and see nearby friends etc.

Short version: the Facebook experience on Windows Phone 7 just got much better!

boy does it load faster. i didnt see an update on my market place tile so i went on to social, found fb and selected update.

I checked the version number on mine and it was something like 0.9 with no update available from the market. I uninstalled/reinstalled and have the latest version now, much better...

Now, if only MS can get the People and Photo hubs to update content as fast as the current FB app.
