Facebook Will Be A Big Reason People Leave Windows 10 Mobile

We have many many reasons. Instagram, Photosynth, banking apps. WP is complete disappointment. They don't love their job and they don't have will. They don't mind satisfying people or becoming a leader platform.

Year is 2017 and many years passed since WP has born but we don't even have an official, stabel and working Instagram App. Can you imagine that? Unbelievable. UNBELIEVABLE!
Is UNBELIEVEBLE the fact I know only what is Instagram from listed above? :eck:

Yeah I don't use Facebook much either. But my wife does. And so do lots of other people. As of the fourth quarter of 2016, Facebook had 1.86 billion monthly active users. It IS important to an ecosystem!
Facebook is major to alot of people and most people trying out Windows from android and ios will be disappointed when they can't do their favorite features they've been doing for years on other platforms.

I still have hope since Facebook on Windows 10 Desktop is up to date with all the features just like Instagram.
So, I guess it's a matter of time...

Windows 10 Mobile is a big reason people leave Windows 10 Mobile xD

No, super slow Facebook and Messenger apps are the big reason to leave WM 10 (not WM10, not app gap or any other reason). I wrote here already that NO real Facebook users use WM 10 phone, they just want get rid of it asap. (all 1.86 billion monthly active users) ...

Let's not go too far off topic.
Also we won't tolerate any intense conflicts between members.
Keep these two points in mind please.
Thank you.

Yea I will be leaving, FB is not the only reason but a big part of it. Waiting for Mobile world Congress at the end of the month. Nokia 8 and 6 look great and have good specs but maybe to big for me. Also the new BB might be good as well.

I just opened FB Messenger app on my i7 desktop and it took a good 10-15 seconds.

I just opened Facebook Messenger on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and it took <2 seconds.

1. Cold start vs. resuming. On the desktop etphoto probably started the Messenger app for the first time (cold start) so it had to load everything. tgp probably already used Messenger before so it was just suspended in background and did a quick resume (Android does it too).

2. FB uses osmeta framework for Windows apps. They are built from iOS apps. iOS and Android appr are most probably native. That's another reason for the speed difference.

Nope. Cold start. It's fast.

You are right. Just tried cold start (after restart cp) with my old Huawei P8 Lite (Kirin 620) - result: less than 3 seconds

Refusing a clear performance problem does not help. It should be fixed asap.

Well it was nice knowing you guys. My wife and I leaving windows platform and FB is the last straw she has just orderd a Samsung J5 and I waiting for the Moto G5 when it comes out soon.

Facebook works, not that I care. Our lives don't circle around facebook or any other apps.

Use and support Microsoft Windows mobile phones, if you like them, or be part of the problem.

What's this Facebook people keep yammering on about?

Ain't seen it. Don't want it.

Apparently all it does is spread misery anyhow.

News flash: People who use social media are lonelier than the rest of us. Solution, ditch social media and join the rest of us in the real world. "Glance and go."
Just my thoughts.
Best wishes.

Isn't that the newfangle internet thingy people use for fake news ??

... !!

People love their social media and im not sure that's going to change any time soon. That's the main apps people look for and use on any platform.

And that's why we should recommend Windows phones to lonely people. :D
