Since I see not all of us are totally invested in MSFT, I was wondering how far deep does everyone here have experience with MSFT subscription services?

Do you have any of these subscription services? Like Office 365, Onedrive, Xbox Music etc?

I had Xbox Music when WP had Zune, but then cancelled it as it is appalling on the phone. Was wondering if it is worth going to back to it after WP8.1.

How has your experience been with this add-on money spent? Are you currently enjoying something .. since years?

I did the Zune music subscription for a year when I first got my HTC 7 Trophy, but that's it, nothing else.

I am a full mircosoft ecosystem from desktop to laptop to surface to phone. As far as the subscription services. I have Microsoft MSDN to cover my Office needs, not to mention you get a fairly functional free office in skydrive. Onedrive (skydrive) is one service I would pay for because I use the heck out of it. But I am grandfathered into 25gb free and got another 7 gb free when I bought my Surface. But if it ever fills up, I will subscribe. I've thought about dabbling with Xbox music. I have enough Bing rewards to try it for a month free. But for my taste in music, the genres on Nokia Mix Radio are excellent. They take care of all my music needs on my phone right now.

Xbox Music
Xbox Video
Xbox 360
Xbox One (soon)
Windows Phone
OneDrive
Surface
Bing
Windows 8 Pro

All typed using my iMac at work.

You were doing so good until that last line!

Xbox 360
Windows Phone
Xbox Music (even though I'm appalled at how many hits from the mid 2000s that they don't have or don't include them in the subscription.)
OneDrive
Windows 7
Xbox One (soon)

My yearly subscriptions:
Xbox Music
Xbox Gold 360
Outlook-yes I am paying outlook yearly for more space and to remove adds

I would pay for this if needed:
OneDrive-all free like 25+7gb or something like that

Devices I have:
Xbox One (soon)
Windows Phone
Surface Pro
Dell Venue 8 Pro
Windows 8 Pro laptop

Other services I use:
Bing points
Xbox Video

Office 365 is the only service Microsoft service I pay for.

I have 25 GB SkyDrive grandfathered, plus another 20 GB SkyDrive from Office 365 subscription. That's all I need, since I also got 32 GB cloud storage for 3 years from ASUS when I bought my PC last November.

Nokia Mix Radio is all I pay for music streaming/offline mixes. I buy my music I want to own from Amazon.com. Other streaming music apps I use are Songza, TuneInRadio, KEXP, Clouder, Radio Soma, Slacker.

I don't care one bit about anything Xbox related. Steam is what I use for gaming. Xbox Music sucks if one doesn't like mainstream pop music.

I don't buy movies, so streaming on Netflix is all I need.

Xbox 360 Gold
Bing (sometimes)
Windows Phone
OneDrive
Windows 8.1 Pro

That's me currently.

Thank you guys! Xbox music does seem to be a hit or miss thing! Like Laura, I have been using Nokia Music/Mix Radio since my fall out with Zune->Xbox Music. But recently I've been playing with my "stock" or lets say vanilla WP experience. I am using rooms for group chat, messenger for one to one, Skype for video calls and other than have no app installed. I have removed every app I can remove from the phone except Maps.

This was just to see how I can improve my battery life. But then I realised I missed my music. Thus, the need to subscribe to Xbox Music! :)

Cori and Eric are probably the most heavy hitters when it comes to Microsoft ecosystem. ;)

ps, how much does it cost to have ad free Outlook? Here in the UK, my outlook is adfree already!

I have subscribed to the following:

Skydrive
Skype Premium
Office 365 Home plan - it's cheap as peanuts! ?2 per month per person!

Forgot to mention the Xbox 360. The kids actually use it more than me. But when no one is around I sneak on and play some kinect golf. It's the only golf I play that the ball actually goes straight and not screaming off to the right slicing.

Here is the description from MS on my outlook account.

Description: The Ad-free Outlook.com yearly subscription of $19.95 plus tax includes 10 Gigabytes of Outlook.com email storage and exemption from the account expiration policy. No third party advertising. Just feature tips and product info from Microsoft. Refund only available if cancelled within one month from purchase. At the end of 1 year, you will have the option to renew your subscription, or the subscription will expire. You will receive a renewal letter 30 days prior to the renewal date. Your subscription is subject to the Microsoft Service Agreement.

Without that subscription I get banner adds along side of my emails in outlook web access

I will have to dig deeper as Outlook doesn't show any ads on IE11 for me. I thought that was the main reason people were adapting so quickly to new outlook, because it did not have those ads like Gmail! Certain regional stuff is good from MSFT esp when it comes to ads ;)

Why would you want web-based Outlook.com if you have Office 365? I use Outlook (the desktop client), since I have an Office 365 subscription. It includes Outlook, Access and Publisher (in addition to Word, Excel and Powerpoint). The Office 365 subscription is good for use on up to 5 PCs/Macs, so it would be ideal for families.
