Re: File Manager and SD card support probably confirmed!

Wow! Great future for wp users.. I too got the mail.
Daniel Rubino.. This deserves an article.
+1. We definitely need an explanation on this. Can we install apps to SD cards now? What do they mean by File Explorer? Since MS probably won't give a clear answer, we need an expert opinion.

Uservoice has been closing a number of requested features as completed, and if you had votes in for said features, you got an email about said closure. I got a few as well today.

The users who voted for a file manager and SD card support for apps have now been returned their votes, because those features are now available in Windows Phone 8. Check it out! Probably a confirmation for WP8.1? Someone should write an article on this.. :)

I received those emails as well. At this point, one can only hope that these features do happen in WP8. As of right now, it's still all just speculation.

Though I REALLY hope Microsoft didn't simply close down those suggestions without intending to actually implement the changes. That would really suck.

It could also mean that they are now starting on those tasks.

Re: File Manager and SD card support probably confirmed!

Why they always give half information?

WPCentral should clarify.

I'd say that this news is uncertain. Since it's come entirely out of the blue, we don't know if these items have been marked as "completed" by human/automated error.

I'd consider these items to be erroneous unless there's supporting clarification from MS. Marking both "swipe up" and "swipe down" as completed, when there's the "x" button in the multi-tasking view seems really suspicious to me.

Also note that many previous "completed" items have had some kind of personalised response regarding usage/extra info.

Re: File Manager and SD card support probably confirmed!

Doesn't it seem in any way strange that someone at Microsoft would mark these items as "completed" at around 9pm on Thanksgiving Sunday evening?

Maybe they're done compiling their code :D And they want to express their happiness :p
