Files uploaded to skydrive are renamed?

I have been delving into how my windows phone handles documents emailed to me. I have found that once I have the phone upload the attachment to my skydrive, I find that it puts random numbers in front of the file name. Its not doing this because of duplicates either. Is this normal? is there a way to turn it off?

This doesn't sound normal to me because any documents I save to Skydrive retain their original file name without any additions. I'm not sure (in fact, I have no idea) why your phone's behaving like this.

SkyDrive does rename if you upload a file as "shared", especially if its for a specific audience. Perhaps that's what you are doing?
