Hello, so my SB updated to the latest firmware days ago, now I cant even boot without holding power + volume! I disabled sleep, I reset, I did everything but this problem is still there, everytime I turn it on after a shutdown, it got stuck at the surface logo until I shut it down with power+volume then turn on again! it was fine before this bloody update. I should have bought the XPS 15 or a Macbook.

I saw some similar issues after the firmware update on mine. What you might want to try is disabling Connected Standby. Do this by going into regedit and changing the following. I haven't done it yet post firmware, but I'm going to do it again, since I had done this before the firmware update and I had better stability. I had switched it when the firmware update came, hoping they fixed the all issues, but it looks like they had not for certain models.

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\CsEnabled (1->0) (change from 1 to 0 and restart)

If it doesn't exist yet, create the DWORD manually.
