Got this phone at a Microsoft event about two years ago. Got it out every once in a while to see if it would update, nothing. We both had 920's so I put it on the shelf. Strangest phone, the OS was 8.10.12337.801, the firmware was cherry blossom pink and the Model listed in about was Lumia id313-4. The RM was 977_1006 and it booted up with the Cricket logo and name. It wouldn't update, couldn't find a package on the developers preview.

I had never flashed a phone but decided I wanted to try flashing this one. I used the xda flashing info here
Tutorial | Lumia devices flashing | Windows 10 Development and Hacking
It had to be a CV version so it would be unlocked. The best choice was RM-977 VAR LTA 7R CV, a Latin American version. It booted with the Spanish language, I selected United States. English.

It finished with OS 8.10.14234.375, 8.1, update and Denim, RM-977_1015 so it has start screen folders, The AT&T SIM works and gets 3G.
There were some kinks in downloading the package and getting ready to flash.
I'll provide info if anybody is interested.

That's interesting.
I think you got a development unit or something that wasn't sold publicly.

Especially since "Cherry Blossom Pink" was the codename for Lumia Cyan firmware.

The 630 is an 8 GB phone though.

I took that part out to fix it.
correct
It is has 512mb of RAM and 8GB of memory

I need more information.
I see no 4R US for the RM-977 and no way to search for it in lumiafirmware.com. Where is it?
Why would this make a difference?

The only real difference between that ROM and the 7R from is you get field test in the 4R ROM and it's the closest CV ROM for the variant.
