Forgotten swag

Going through the drawers in my old desk today I found some goodies that were given to me by a couple of members of the Windows Phone team a few years ago at an event in Dallas. Forgot I even had them. Looking through them made me realize how much things have changed in a relatively short period of time, but I also marvel at how quickly time has passed. Hard to believe WP has been around for almost four years now.

Man.... I think about almost switching to Sprint and becoming enamored with the HTC Arrive. Then, forcing a group of AT&T reps to turn on a LG Quantum (the only WP they had in the store), and then me, the store manager, and 2-3 reps and another customer just all playing around with it for the first time.

Tons has changed. Oh, how I thought Mango was going to be the beat-all-end-all update....

Ha ha, yep. I remember how excited our little group here was before Mango came out. We thought it was the coolest thing ever. It's funny, but I don't get nearly as worked up about updates anymore. Sure, I'm looking forward to 8.1, but not enough to install a somewhat buggy preview on my daily driver. I can certainly wait another month or so. Old age and patience I guess. 8.0 has been doing me just fine and I expect it will continue to do so until the official OTA hits. ;-)
