There are 196 countries on this little blue planet but to anyone glancing at the news feed you would think there is only 1 country.

As an example from todays front page, 33% of the articles relate to USA-only. Surely stuff happens elsewhere in the world?
  • Sprint - USA.
  • CES - Global.
  • AMC Theatres - USA.
  • Tubecast - Global.
  • Bang and Olufson - Global.
  • Interview - Global
  • Easydom - Global
  • VLC - Global
  • T-Mobile - USA.
  • Wellograph - Global
  • Verizon - USA.
  • McDonalds - UK
  • Spartan - Global.
  • App update - Global.
  • AT&T - USA.

I'm in the UK & Russia. I have no interest in what is happening with American carriers. How about less America-centric news? More global news?

Or put little country flags next to the articles so it's easier to see whether I should waste my time reading something that will never affect me?!

Your idea regarding the flag icons would be a nice feature if it were possible to add it.

I believe the news just depends on what and where there is anything happening. I see they've just added two more non-US stories: one about TalkTalk (UK) and another about Lumia 930 (China).

...put little country flags next to the articles so it's easier to see...

I like this. Or a Globe if it is a universal interest story...

I've been on other forums where the member info next to the post could display a flag to represent the member's location. Most used them as well. I realize I can click the member pic next to a post (and often do) to get more "intel" on the poster, but not so many are filling in the data such as location. I see Richard Burt does, I do as well... Too many times I click and draw a blank. Often times that sort of information could go a long way toward helping someone with a question or problem.

I know it's a bit off topic. Still, I'd like to see the flags in the member info box next to their posts. I think more members would use that and, in turn, would discover and use the Profile information.
