Gained almost 2GB after update

Do you mean that you now have 2GB more storage space available?

The update didn't make any difference for me. My free storage space is the same as it had been prior to the update.

Yeah, I was down to 3GB and some change now it's at 5GB available

In some WP8 Threads i have read about WP Updates Clean some Cache... So maybe the Same on WP7 Devices with Updates...
