Yes it requires the device to be dev unlocked. It's a simple process and free if you don't want to pay for the higher end dev features on their website.

Go to Windows Phone Dev Center. On the site they have a full set of instructions. The link should be near the top right on that site.

Soo, I don't have a 1520, but I ran wpbench on my 1020 post-update, and the score is inline with non-updated 820/920/1020s with snapdragon S4. So, I don't think it made a difference on my end. Could you run sunspider 1.0.2 through the web browser and post a screenshot or tell us your score post-update?

That would be good news, it might take time before I see it in UK but if it does sort the issue then there is a fix on way....now just sort the crappy low light video recording and I am happy lol

Unsure how I would check to see update notes but here in UK I just had every nokia app update....like 99% even camera, but no idea what it did lol

Yeah it came up with 18 updates, few apps rest all nokia stuff, on Orange...dont think it matters though as unlocked.

Not happening here. The only issues I've had are what seems to be a weird issue with WiFi where it seems like my signal is weak. The weird part is that in my apartment I get a weak signal no more than 10-15 feet from router (it is in the dead center of my apartment to provide even coverage). However when I go outside I can get a speedy signal even 100 feet away.

What? It's a metro app, not a webpage frame, and doesn't pop ads and reminders at all.

I had been using the developer preview for 2 days. The touch screen issue seems better (my feeling could be wrong) but I still get accidental taps instead of swipe

I'm experiencing the same issue. It's definitely a bug. International version unlocked.

Hello folks. Bug reports should go into the bugs thread. This thread was specifically talking about performance as in speed from the 10521 dev update.

It's not for issues with the firmware or bugs with the screen or WiFi or LTE.

Think they saw 10521 update in title and came in talking about the official 10521 update pushed out to 1020's and 1520's a couple days ago

The 1520 received a firmware update, but not the 10521 update. The 1020 received GDR3 build 10517 and the Black update.

That's what they sent to mine, so I assumed the rest of them, in about mine now says 8.0.10521.155 on a stock, locked 1520
