Wanted a nostalgic feel for a cell phone plus I wanted to try out os 6 and some neat cases. So I'll have a blackberry and windows phone and an android tablet
If you're going to run OS6, head over to Crackberry and search for "shrink OS". I had a 9700 before I got my Nokia Lumia 900. The 9300 has the same memory as the 9700, so it's going to be bogged down if you run OS6 without shrinking.
If you shrink your OS, you should have a good experience.
I also recommend installing Opera Mini. The stock BB browser tends to run out of memory, and you'll get "page too large closing" in OS6.
The person sending it to me seems to have the os already loaded. Will see how it performs
If OS6 is already loaded, hasn't been shrunk, and bogs down, search for "BB Boss" on the Crackberry forums. It is possible to directly shrink from the device without reinstalling the OS.
I appreciate this info! And I was going to get the 9700 but found the prices to be kind of high
Just got it today. Seems awkward to wield another phone
Welcome to my world. If BB10 comes out this year, I'll probably try it. If it doesn't come out until 2013, then it's too late and i won't bother trying it.

How do you like it so far?
Which phone do you use the most?
It's okay but my experience is being hindered by Att. Because I don't have the "correct" plan, a lot of my apps stop working. It'll work just fine on wifi only though
You really need a BIS plan to fully appreciate BlackBerry. You won't get push email, or any of the native apps without BIS. Any other smartphone will work better than BlackBerry via WiFi only. A BlackBerry lacks the majority of useful functions without BIS.
I use my HTC 7 Trophy at work, and I use my Nokia N8 at home as my personal phone. I am hanging on to my Samsung Galaxy S2 to see what Jelly Bean is like. I wasn't real impressed with the Ice Cream Sandwich update.
I'm not sure how that would work. I ditched BIS and got the LTE grandfathered unlimited plan, but I have no intention of reactivating the old 9700.That sucks cause I don't want to lose my Lte
