Well, I did some searches here and there and found very little on this subject. I guess given that it "just" came out, it's normal. Here is what I found, if you are like me and ran into an issue where Edge refuses to import bookmark/favourites from IE and you already tried copying and pasting into

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\MicrosoftEdge\User\Default\Favorites

and it still doesn't show up, here is a trick I found

1. download Chrome (hey no frowning, only way that seems to work)
2. install Chrome then import IE favourites
3. start Edge
4. try import again, but this time only check off Chrome and not IE

only issue seems to be that it throws it into a favourite bar sub folder, if anyone find where you can manage folders in Edge, please post below and I will update this post, thanks.

Thanks for the work-around. Hopefully, it's not a wide-spread issue.

I can confirm that nearly a year later ... it is still an issue.
Thought I wait a year before upgrading to W10.

You would think MS could have worked out how to migrate IE bookmarks to Edge by now?

it is also so ironic that that the windows central website runs like a dog on Edge.
actually, worse that, that - impossible to use.
this post is being written in IE.
there is a thread here somewhere about Edge and WC - something about all the ads.

apart from missing favorites - still finding them, and WC site not usable, I actually quite like Edge - go figure.
