Glance screen only displaying notifications intermittently

I have a Lumia 1520 and when the phone is locked the notifications aren't appearing. It seems intermittent because I definitely remember it work a couple of days ago?

Check wether you have the latest version of glance from the store

Glance is firmware dependent, and WP8.1 Preview has not a firmware update yet.
