Gmail Contact Group Integration

My wife and I are current Android users, but I'm intrigued by the direction windows phone is going. One thing that is critical to my wife's business is to have the same ability as she currently does, in that her phone syncs her contact groups with her gmail account.

This allows her to add a contact on her phone to specific group, for texting, email, and phone calls, and that contact automatically gets integrated with her gmail account's group settings as well, for use when she is using her groups from her email on the laptop.

Is this capability available in the WP 7.5 platform?

No Google experience here, but as the WP Group feature works completely different, I would say, probably no.

I'd like this too but I can't even get it to work on my Android. I don't own a WP yet but when testing one, I didn't see such an option. :-(

What android phone do u have? This is part of the basic android code, but some manufacturers nerfed it on a few earlier phones. (my droid x can't do it)

Well, if this isn't native maybe someone will create an app to do it like the few I've read on the iphone can. I would love to give wp a shot, but can't do without this.
