Good support from Microsoft live chat - New firmware Jan 14th 2pm est

So I have just been chatting with a Microsoft live chat person named Hoody.

Great support, my surface pro 2 would not go into sleep mode or automatically turn off display. After him / her walking me through all the settings (which I had already done) he then told me about the two finger reboot which I did not know about. Hold down the volume down button and the power button until you see the logo appear, then switch on and log in as normal. This fixed the fault.

Whilst discussing with the support person he did inform me that the new firmware is due on January 14th at 2pm EST. I did not ask for this information he just offered it to me.

I am a new Surface Pro 2 user, recently moved away from my loved Playbook thanks to a wonderful present from the wife for Xmas.

So far so good..
