Google account doesn't sync

My Google account doesn't sync. The problem has persisted for a day or two now. Removing and adding it again does not solve the problem. I have not changed my password on other device, so that's not an issue either. I wonder if this is some sort of a lowly act from Google to make Windows Phones less competitive. Or am I alone with this problem?

Best solution: Dump all google services and convert to Microsoft equivalent.

I don't have any google services or google account, and really are not sure what exactly it is that isn't syncing.

Are you trying to sync emails? Google Docs? Google Drive? Something else? Knowing what you are trying to sync may help someone find a solution for you.
