Google Voice APP?

I am thinking of getting this phone off ebay since I am still under verizon contract. My last phone was an android and I rely heavily on google voice for texting since I dont want to pay the crazy prices verizon charges. Would I still be able to do this? FYI, cant wait to board that C17 flight home.

I currently am running a WP without any service whatsoever and I use an app over wifi called GoVoice that lets me send and receive texts via Google Voice, as well as receiving voicemail.

Go voice and Gtalk are the 2 favorites they both work about the same. There is some setup required but it's well spelled out and pretty simple

I too scrapped a texting plan and the app I use for GV is FreeTalk. I've used this and GoVoice and preferred FreeTalk.

But know that the experience is not as good as on Android for what are hopefully obvious reasons.
