GPS navigation on Lumia 950

Hello guys. Just wanted to know if the GPS navigation for driving needs internet connection or of the device has a real GPS antenna inside and works with the satellites just like a Garmin GPS would do.

Sorry to chime in, I am new user and have some questions as well:

1. Why the "location" works every time when I unlock my phone? Too frequent.
2. How to turn off the pre-fretch feature in Edge? I heard it saves battery life.
3. Live tile stop working after a while. Does it operate base on my usage?
4. How to save pictures with less pain? Too many steps to locate the path!
5. How to link friend's head image from facebook to people hub?
6. The gesture (swipe right or left) to forward/backward page on browser is gone?
