Groove used 1.5 GB of cellular data

Got a message on my phone : reached limit of cellular data (2GB)
When I check data usage : Groove Music is the culprit...
Can I and how do I change anything in settings of the Groove-app so this won't happen again ?

go to system, battery saver, battery use, change background app settings, turn off groove music. and while your there turn off anything else that's not needed.

Good advice.
I do hope for an app update that makes it possible in app settings to block usage of cellular data, something that is possible with Spotify.

There is a setting to not allow updates on cellular data only on wifi

Checked today... Groove Music used up almost one GB on sunday... Incredible... Don't know why or how... I hope this won't happen again....

This happened to me, too. It used 1.5GB of data last week, and it has used another 300 MB since then. I run Windows Phone 10, and I have the "Available offline" option selected for my playlist with all the music files downloaded to my phone. Groove desperately needs data usage control, and I think the app is unusable to me until such control is added.
