Seems the only way to change my 630's registered Microsoft email is a hard reset. So after reset, I start over with creating a new Microsoft acct with my prime email so I can finally read my mail from the 630.

BUT... how will I recover my backup? Won't it be filed under the old email?

Wait wait wait, you hard reset your device to access mail box on your phone?
Why didn't you simply added it as an account?
+ to restore your backup you need to use the same account you used to back up

Salaam Fahmi.
My Lumia 630 Microsoft acct is "account info removed"
My prime email acct is "account info removed" (both are outlook accts).
I need "account info removed" on the 630 to access my emails.
I am not permitted to add another outlook acct (aalf@live.com).
Nor am I permitted to change the Microsoft acct "account info removed"
Seems the only way is a reset.
But how do I recover backup without "account info removed" as my lumia 630 Microsoft acct?

Mod edit personal e-mail accounts removed...

No idea. It kept saying an outlook.com acct is already on this phone won't allow a 2nd hotmail account onboard.

Kinda weird, WP allows you to add an alias for an existing account, why wouldn't it allow you to add another account.
After hard resetting, does it work?

No. Still not working. The cycle is= sign in>"syncing">attention required>sign in>"syncing">attention required>sign in>"syncing">attention required>sign in>"syncing">attention required> etc

Sign into the primary on the phone as a Microsoft Account...

Add the secondary on the phone ONLY as an email account. You can also try Advanced Setup in the email categories.
