Unfortunately, my Lumia 640 has very poor battery life in Windows 10. It drains the battery within 10 hours, even when on standby and barely any use. In contrast, it could run for 3 days with the same usage pattern in Windows 8.1. I'm not sure what the difference is. Or if there is any fix.

My Lumia 550 battery life was so bad on 10586 and .29 that I was convinced there was a hardware problem. However, since installing .63 it has been massively improved.

With the previous builds it would lose charge rapidly, and be completely dead by about 5-6PM (from 7-8AM), and this was with only average use. With build .63 the phone has lasted far longer into the day with much more actual usage too, I took it off charge at around 7:30AM today, and it's currently on 37% remaining at 10:23PM.

I wanted to check how much power my 1020 used when in idle. Very few apps are running in the background, and to keep things simple I disabled WLAN and mobile data, only 3G enabled. 10 hours without using the phone.

WP 8.1: Battery dropped 0.76 % per hour.

Upgraded without doing a hard reset first, the result was so good that I doubt it could be any better.

10586.63: Battery dropped 0.59 % per hour.

You need the Insider app to get 63, I see no reason why you shouldn't get it.

Much much better on my 930 (which has only 2200mAh). I would say roughly doubled. Also the device no longer gets really hot and the screen no longer flickers (two 930 issues). Very very happy camper!

As I said, battery use states that screen use was almost 60% of use, when the screen was barely on. Most of the drop in battery use occurred during standby, while only checking a couple of texts and battery status every few hours.
