I also recently tried Microsoft Health and noticed that too, but I just assumed it only worked with the band and promptly uninstalled it. I'm looking for just a pedometer app. I may as well go back to Endomondo for the other stuff. I used to use my gmail account when on android, but on windows phone I'll have to create a new account since it will no longer work with a google signin.I use Sensie. Good and detail for your places history.
Trying Microsoft Health, but after fill in the profile, it must connect to the Band. I still can't find the way to skip that so I can use SensorCore only... anyone can tell me? thanks

Did you see the "I don't have a Band" text at the bottom of the initial setup screen when you first went into the app, or are you saying you had to uninstall the MSN Health & Fitness app & change a setting in the Microsoft Health App first? I already uninstalled the MSN Health & Fitness app and the initial setup screen only has a "go to settings" screen which just takes you to the phones Bluetooth screen.I installed Microsoft Health today, and in the setup screen that prompts to pair with a Band, in smaller text at the bottom of the screen it says "I don't have a Band". I just tapped there, and got into the app.
What was odd is that it wouldn't work until I had uninstalled MSN Health & Fitness, and then gone back into MS Health, into "My Phone" and enabled Motion Settings.
Still won't track my route though. Might have to look at miCoach.

That's the thing I don't get the option to choose "I don't have a Band".
Now just to make sure we are talking about the same app (although I don't see another app with this name), is this the app you're using:

I wonder if it only presents this option on certain phones? I have the Lumia 640.
So am I correct in saying there is no single app in the store that will do sensorcore steps, GPS tracking, and calorie counting?
