Hello Everyone, new Lumia 920 owner!

Just thought I'd take a minute to say Hello.

Greetings from within the shadows of the everlasting hills. (Utah)I'm Mike and the proud new papa of a black Lumia 920. I have been lurking on here on and off the past couple years while hanging out over at PreCentral/webOS Nation and have been interested and close to getting a WP device in the past, just 2 weeks ago I finally made the Jump. My brief smart phone history is 2 years with the iPhone 2G with AT&T, 1 year with the HTC Hero on Sprint, then after being fed up with that trying a used Palm Pixi and being in LOVE. I then bought a used Palm Pre and a short while later doing a "FrankenPre2" conversion. I loved that phone and had it for 1.5 years until I had enough with Sprint and switched to Straight Talk last September on a HP Pre 3, for the last 6 months I have been switching between the Pre 3 an HP Veer and an iPhone 4. 2 weeks ago I bought a used Lumia 820 and loved it, so after a week I found a 920 at a reasonable price and went for it. I still really miss webOS but like Billy Preston says "If you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with"
I do love WP8 and am excited to be here.... Now if I can just sell the 820 so my wife will let me back in the house

My first smartphone was an iPhone2. Had all the updates through 4. Swapped out to a 920 in January. Great phone. Great OS too, eventhough it clearly still lacks some features the iPhone has. Regardless, no regrets and not going back. Good luck with it.

The OP was just saying "hi" in this thread. The Introductions forum is the place to just say "hi" and be friendly to each other. Introductions forum is not the place to debate about the merits of iPhone vs Lumia 920 (or any other device).

I loved my 820 and I think the screen looks better even though it is not "HD" My reasons for switching were by the time I bought a wireless charging shell, larger SD card, charging pad. I would be about $100 so when I found a 920 for $50 more than I spent on my 820 with the charging pad and otterbox case I bought it. I did like certain things about the 820. Unless you need the better camera or "slightly" larger screen I think the 820 is a great phone.

Welcome. We roughhouse here at WPCentral with the best of them. Lile you, i enjoyed WebOS...that's why my first and only tablet is a HP Touchpad. Glad you like the 920. I agree that the 820 is still a very good phone, I own a 810 on T-Mobile and love it. Hope you get that 820 sold soon so you can get back in the house...
