Help! Lumia 920 bricked, can't get it up and running.

Hi everyone,

Has anybody else come across this issue before? I've tried a few different things (several hard resets and soft resets) but can't get it to work. I tried to run through the example stickied at the top, but couldn't get any of the Roms from NaviFirm+ as Nokia has locked it out.

I did also attempt to use the "Nokia Software Updater" but no luck with that ether. Here is what I see for that:

I was sitting with a Nokia boot logo with a red background for awhile but the device has turned off and I can't get it on now.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Couple things to try. 1. Try with and without the SIM in the phone. 2. Try switching your charger with another.

Thanks, I'll try those. Unfortunately, I can't even get the phone to do anything right now. It's black and numerous combinations of buttons don't seem to do anything.

#1 was a bug with early 920's that came out last October/November. Resetting with a SIM inside allowed it to reset properly. Resetting without the SIM would cause it to get stuck in spinning gear's mode. First thing to try is to put in a SIM and leave it plugged in, should boot/reset properly.
#2 was a suggestion because it may not be charging. Try a different cable/charger.

I tried to do this but it's still not booting up, no luck. Guess I'll try to contact Nokia.

I had to fix a friend's 920 that was stuck on the gears, and when I did the Nokia software updater the first couple of times it gave me an error. I just clicked try again and after the third time it worked for whatever reason.
