I have the same problem with my Nokia 820. After Lumia Black all map apps stopped working. Maybe related to a problem with native maps control? There have been a number of threads about this but no solution from Nokia. I have also tried to resolve with online Nokia chat but did not help. It looks like first option for a solution (lesser options do not work) is to use Nokia software recovery tool to reinstall Lumia Black. Anyone know an easier solution?

Bad news boy!!
Nokia's S/W Recovery Tool probably won't work either.... It didn't work for me
I went to the Nokia Care store yesterday and HERE maps and other apps weren't working on the Employee's L820!!
The Employee at the Nokia Care said "It's a regional issue" ( I hate it when they say that... Sounds as if they're trying to say, "you should live somewhere Else!!" )

Most of all... One of them said, "Maps?? What maps? Nokia Lumia has no Maps, see HERE maps isn't working on my phone too"

in short Nokia has no answer to this ( btw they do have pretty excuses though!! But non of them justifies THE FACT THAT MAPS WERE WORKING BEFORE!!!!) and the only way to fix your maps is to Flash it.... But your phone will loose it's warranty that way... So it's not really a solution

and did I mention the Employees at the Nokia Care didn't know about the native Bing maps... When I told them even Bing maps isn't working

If you're asking this so that you can tell me that my region/country isn't in some list that's on either Nokia's or Microsoft's website.... I know that,
..... But it was working before.... And then came " Regional Restrictions "

You are right on what I was about to tell you. Before they just restricted app downloads geographically, but users found ways around that. Now they are geofencing within the apps themselves, and no one has found a way around that yet that I have seen posted.

I was expecting a global map support this time

Microsoft isn't interested in making maps available to everybody

Same problem here, I live in Eastern Europe and not only that Here Drive or Here Maps do not open anymore ( and sometimes they restart my phone completly) I noticed that accessing Maps option from the Manage storage menu it has the same behavior = it restarts my phone.
I am using a Lumia 625 with all Prev for Dev updates to date. I noticed the issue after the last update and as far as I know that should have been a bug fix update.

I've got the same problem with maps on my 920 and I live in Spain... Have Cyan on, tried the soft-reboots but that didn't help.
