If your phone has Sensor Core technology, you should be able to enable "Hey, Cortana". That feature responds to the sound if your voice... so accurately that you need to say "Hey, Cortana" exactly the same way you trained it otherwise your phone won't activate it. Given this level of sensitivity, it should not respond when others say "Hey, Cortana".

Sources say that this works even when the phone is locked, but others say otherwise. You may test this yourself and report back your findings for the forums.

I have it on my 930 and it is pretty picky with how I say it. Of course you can train Cortana to recognize something other than "Hey Cortana"..... Like "Periwinkle" or "Innagaddadavida baby"

But it only brings up Cortana and does not directly unlock your phone.

With Win10, you'll have the facial, eye and fingerprint security but only if your phone supports it.

Otherwise it's back to passwords.

That's why I hope they do use hey Cortana as the main security in activating and unlocking your phone through your own voice only. I know we hey Cortana can activate the phone from locked screen but she can't unlock the screen itself. All she can do is to go to the Cortana interface. All am trying to say is, if I say hey Cortana unlock the screen or unlock my phone it should work without me putting a password.

Hopefully this would be a feature in the non-beta version of Cortana in the not-so-distant future of Windows...perhaps in Windows 10 already.
