Hi everyone everyone.

I tried to post a long drawn out post regarding my switch, but it didn't show up.

here is the short. it was time to upgrade, and i know of a 2 week return policy for AT&T to try out new phones. I had every intent to go return the 1020 when the iPhone 5s comes out. I didn't. iPhone 5s did not Wow me.

In the end I prefer the Nokia's camera, WP8 interface is Great.

Apps need work, especially Facebook. iOS Facebook app lets you preview, crop, filter, and enhance.

I found work arounds for most things. Can anyone help me with these:
1. Is there a way to get to the camera from a password protected lock screen. I tried to hold the camera button, but all that does is take me to the password screen.
2. Only App i really miss available in iOS, is the Costco App. I can send pictures from my phone, to costco for printing. Next time i'm at costco i pick it up. Is there a Walmart, Kmart, or Costco WP8 App?

Welcome aboard ⚓ to WP central it's great your enjoying the 1020. As far as the camera operation under lock screen with password is no. Check out the forums Windows Phone 8 (guilds and how to's) tips and tricks for newbie's a lot of good information.

Yes you can get to your camera from the lock screen.
Go to settings, Swipe to the right, then photos+camera
Make sure that the "Prevent accidental camera launch when is locked is unchecked.
I hope this helps.

Also, Welcome to the forums!

Thanks for the correction I thought when using password nothing works, I don't use it but thanks.

For photo editing, I use "Photo Editor by Aviary", although there's many editing apps out there.

Hi, welcome to Windows Phone and WPCentral. I was also an iPhone user, iPhone 4 to be exact. Change to HTC 8X in Oct, Nov I think. (haha, already forgot) and there is no way I can get back to other OS, especially android. (Also ex-Android user). Glad you are happy with your Lumia. Hope you enjoy. Cheers mate!
