Associate a file with an app

I have the Adobe Reader on my 1520, WP8.1 phone. Each time I wanted to open a PDF file, it opened easily and quickly in the Adobe Reader. Recently I downloaded an app called ScanWritr Pro, and now every time I want to open a PDF, I'm asked if I want to open the file in Adobe Reader or ScanWritr. How do I associate a file type with an app? I want to make Adobe Reader the default program for opening this file type, but I don't know how to do that.

I think you'll have to say every time, I'm not sure there's a way to make the selection stick. I'd usually get asked whether to open a PDF in Adobe or IM+ Pro (why that is even a handler, I don't know)

OK, thanks. I was sitting next to a guy on the Windows Phone development team the other day. I should have asked him. I DID ask him if WP10 will be supporting Bluetooth keyboards, and he said he didn't know but he would look into it. He thought it was a good suggestion!

8.1 Update 2 enables bluetooth keyboards so I would expect 10 to as well.
