How can I change the Home screens

I actually hate the colored tiles, no matter what color.
Is there any app or any way that I can chnage the home screen ( not lock screen)

Also isn't it lame that there is one single volume controller for all kinds of volume chnages.

Hi,

There are apps which can change the home screen ad tiles to your liking. Check Skinery tiles. However it is the simplicity of windows phone that gives it elegance and beauty. If you wanted to make stuff weird there are other OS for it, windows phone design principles are superb IMO. (and well that is my opinion)
