How can I get my alarm to ring even when my phone is powered off (Lumia 535)?

Lumia 535 - alarm not working when phone is powered off.

How can I get the alarm to ring even if I've powered OFF? I don't want my phone to be on all night every night, (wasting the battery) but the alarm doesn't seem to work when I power off.

I don't believe there is a way to do it. Set your phone to airplane mode, perhaps?

With Windows phones they have to be on for the alarm to go off I'm afraid.

The old non smartphone had this feature. If you switched them off the alarm still worked but in the current smartphone this is not possible anymore.

You can't even charge a windows phone in switch off condition, my cousin taunt me about it many times.

Why do you need to switch it off to charge? For me on Lumia 730 it takes 2.5 hrs to charge 0-100 and 2 hrs 0-80. When asleep ~8 hrs battery discharge is 3-5% for me.

Alternative turn on battery saver when you go to sleep, maximum 1% discharge on my phone when on battery saver.

Back when I used to party hard. When my phone got low on power, I would sweet the alarm and turn it off. This way it would still wake me in the (early) morning to get on my way. Don't party hard any more so I don't miss the feature.
