How can I get my Bluetooth to my 2013 Renault Traffic Carminat Tom Tom to work with my phone?

Hi all just got a 1520 last Saturday dropped my galaxy note 2 screen broke

I had been looking at windows phone for a few months now

So I seem to be able to get most things working on the phone just cant get it to work on the factory 2013 Renault carminat tom tom head unit in my work van
I go to the blue-tooth page pair devices that's as far as it goes they pair but when I try access the phone it says no phone connected the blue-tooth worked fine on the Samsung is there something I am doing wrong

I really like the 1520 but if I cant use the blue-tooth with my van I'll have to get rid of it
