How can I make Nokia or Microsoft give me a Lumia 1020 for free???

I've been using the Lumia 520 for two months now and I'm deeply in love with this device, it has all the apps I need and also runs them well and with beautiful UI that if I don't get married to this device then it'll have to be another Lumia..... So I thought to upgrade to a more premium Lumia and after searching GSMarena for an upgrade it was only the Lumia 1020 that could steal my heart from my Lumia 520....but the truth is that the Lumia 1020 is way putter my league, that's why I'm asking if there's a way I can get it for free....

Hah, I wish I knew.

Any free 1020's were not asked for, and those people were kinda famous.

Maybe if you try sinking Bing Rewards points into the sweepstakes, I've seen phones pop up there.

but they can't do charity like that to everyone (sadface) or they'll go under like any other company.

but actually if its out of your league, maybe a lesser upgrade would whet your appetite. The 920 is a fine phone, only major thing is the lack of THE camera.
and phones below that aren't shabby either.
Anything is a step up from the 520 honestly.

If it was that easy no one would buy them and just asked MS/Nokia for one.
But you can always go to an electronic store. I heard they have so many smartphones, they started to sell them...

Ummm... If I knew how to get a free phone, don't you think is be doing it instead of spending my time helping get you one?

Lolz its just that I'm beginning to miss some specs not included in the L520 like the single LED flash and front facing camera......and also the inability to download some games due to the low RAM size

What did you expect? The 520 is a low budget phone, so of course it lacks in functions that high end phones like the 1020 feature. But those features have their price.
So if you wanted a high end phone you should have saved for one of them.

That's like buying a Fiat and then asking how to get a Ferrari for free because the Fiat isn't as powerful and rich on features.

I'd try to trade up to something a bit higher. A 1020 may be a bit far, but a 920 or 820 aren't as far

Im missing some of the perks not included in my Chevrolet Malibu like 650hp and bitches hanging all over me....and also the ability to do 0-60mph in 3.1 seconds. Anyone know how I can get a free 2014 Corvette ZR1?

I only asked cos I use to read post on imore.com and crackberry.com about winning free gifts and phones.. So I thought someone could link me up to that kinda competition if its available on WPCentral. Buh you'all are just making fun of me.

its all in jest. Your in the same boat as the rest of us and either have to save up or wait for the next upgrade. My complaint is, all my friends have IPhones and these a-holes at AT&T upgrade their phones yearly for them, with deals close to what I'd get every two years. I ask about doing that and they ask if I was looking for an iPhone. When I tell them, "no, probably the Nokia 1520", they tell me that I will have to wait the full two terms or come back and get a slight discount after 18mos. Bunch of fruit loving b*llsh*t.

Why don't you just go with at&t, sell the iPhone, buy th1520 off contract ?! You can even make a bit of money in the process if they offer new upgrades annually instead of 2 years.

I dont own an iphone. I've got a 920 and want a 32gb 1520, but off contract will cost about $900. No thanks.

You didn't say anything about competitions and winning a smartphone in your original post, so how are we supposed to know what you meant?

You can try following the official Windows Phone and Nokia Lumia pages on Facebook/Twitter and keep your eyes open for raffles.
But don't expect someone to give it to you just for asking (altough I've read about some people who got a free one but had to reach a few thousand retweets on Twitter in a single day so they could keep the phone; I don't think many of them succeeded).

Thanks, I'd try the following of their twitter and Facebook pages

Well, now you can test your luck in this competition -> #spaceselfie
No word on what Nokia phone it will be, but it sure is worth a try, if you want a Windows Phone device for free ;-)
