How do i approve tags from the facebook app?

I get notifications when someone tags me in a photo and then i have to go to "timeline review" and approve the tag for the photo to show up in my timeline. However, i can't do that in the facebook app. When i click the notification that says ".....go to timeline preview to add this to your timeline" - it simply takes me to my timeline and not the "review" page. So the photo remains hidden from my timeline. I usually have to login to facebook using the browser in my phone or login from my PC to approve tags.

Is there a way to approve tags from within the app itself?

Not that I know of. Been using the browser for that (or my Xperia V, or my iPhone 5s)
