How do I capture / copy the number from which I have received a text message?

I sometimes need to copy the phone number from which I have received a text message. There seems to be no straightforward method to do this. I have to go through the steps to save the number before I can copy the number. Is there any simpler solution?

Welcome to WC ramkay52,

If you open the text message you can see the phone number in the top.
Tap on the number.
They you see the number under PROFILE
And if you now tap and hold the number a dropdown menu opens with the option to COPY.

When you open the message tap on the number. On the new screen tap and hold the number and an option to copy it will appear.

Yes.

Tap on the phone number at the top of the screen in the conversation thread (where you see the actual text messages).

You'll end up in a screen that says "Uknown Contact" at the top and the option to text or call that number. Hit the "Save" icon at the bottom of the screen to create a new contact record or add this number to an existing contact.

There's no need to "copy" the number.
