Windows Central Question

I download a document and it automatically becomes an Edge pdf that I can only print, close or send via email only if I let Edge be the ruler of my email. This is a problem. I take classes on line and the drop boxes for assignments will not accept an Edge pdf. I want to submit my resume for a few jobs and I can't do a damn thing with the Edge pdf.
How dare Microsoft to assume and decide for me what I want.

What can I do about this? Is there a way to disable Edge? Is there a way to do a "save as" or copy and paste with all of my formatting?

Thank you.

Thank you.

Just out of curiosity, have you done that yourself before recommending it to others? It's a pretty invasive procedure where you can simply set a different browser like Firefox as your default. Edge is integrated into the OS, and forcefully removing it could affect other parts of the OS in a negative way.

That being said, in Edge I am able to right-click the PDF document and click "save as" (as the only right-click menu option)

Or, just install adobe reader and set it as the default program for pdf

Yupp instead of removing the browser, you can just set adobe reader as your default pdf reader :)

control panel > programs > default programs > associate a file type... program > scroll till you find ".pdf" > select it > click on change program (upper-right hand)
