How do I upgrade from windows 10 32 bit to 64 bit?

Windows Central Question

Windows 10 installed onto my computer automatically after I showed interest in it. since then I have had problems with my connectivity to steam and other gaming platforms. I also have a gps device for travelling purpose and not event this will work properly. I want to upgrade to the 64 bit version sothat my pc can function properly again. please help me

your pc must first be a 64 bit machine - if it isn't, then you cannot install 64 bit windows on a 32 bit machine.

You'll need to get the ISO for windows 10 but when getting it, you should select the 64 bit version

Assuming capable hardware:

You cannot "upgrade" from 32 to 64 bit Windows.

You're attempting to replace the foundation of a house when the house is already constructed. You will need to do a clean install of Windows with 64-bit media, whether a USB disk to DVD.
