How Does Renting Games on XBox One Work

That's not really relevant to the discussion, though. The discussion is renting of games, physical ones. Rental places usually get games by the Friday after release anyway, though they might have limited copies available. I'm not sure what your comment's trying to say, though.

Why wouldn't it be relevant? If the OP wanted to get BO3 on launch to "rent" or buy used through GameStop, it wouldn't have been available. I like having the game on Day One.

It's not relevant because we're not discussing digital content, really. It was about getting around data caps and bandwidth restrictions. Like I said before, I'm not sure why you brought that up in the first place. The title was about how game rentals work.

Maybe I can't see if the original comment was edited since I'm on mobile, but the OP never mentioned bandwidth caps. Another user did, but the statement I made was mostly for the op, however it can still apply to other user's.

It's about installing from from a disc and I've bought several games from GameStop and they never say that one the new game is opened, it can't be returned. Actually happened with me with GTA V. Bought the disc to install and return it after I purchased the DLC.

I wouldn't want someone buying it seeing your post from GameStop to then return it.

I mean, then you're still answering a question about renting games with "just buy it digitally," while also answering a question from 2.5 years ago, before we knew for sure how the XB1 would work.

As for my comment, I clearly said yo buy a USED game, because GS has a 14-day return policy on used games. Thinking you can buy something, open it, and return it like that isn't the best move, because very few places allow that, especially with video games and the like.

Xbox one is my first system since PlayStation one when I was younger. So not being to return a new game was new to me.
