Yeah, MS totally botched the updated Lumia Camera rollout. So much misinformation out there from both MS and users.

Are the 930 users really getting the app with their update, or do they just think they are?

Yeah, but I have my doubts. I mean, my 830 came with a default camera app that I thought was the new app (different interface etc), but it's not. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they're seeing. Time will tell, I guess....

I think you're reading a little to much into his comments. I took it as he was referring to the articles posted on WC about denim being available for some 930 users.

With that in mind, maybe the 830 will require an update too which enables the new Camera app to be shown / downloaded.

Just a guess, nothing more until we see what happens.

Its just the fact they announced the 830 WITH Lumia camera 5. And now 830 users thought they get the app, but nothing!
So 830 should be one of the first ! I wait since October. 930/1520 users were never told they would get it before end of 2014, 830 did! Just watch the IFA presentation...

It seems to me the camera app Is being packaged into the update / firmware. I think we will have to wait for the 830 update to be pushed to us before we have access to it. I am disappointed in that fact as AT&T although one of the faster companies to release OS updates in the states is still slow as hell. I was hoping to have the camera app for Christmas, but it looks like it might be February since AT&T is pretty damn slow in its testing.

Yes the new Camera comes with the Systemupdate.

Apart from they showed the new App in September at IFA, it took them a very long time to release it...if there is anything wrong with that app, i sell my 830. Im fed up with MS. Always waiting for updates and get soemthing promised and then its just crap.
Like Music Player or Lumia Creative Studio...
