How long is MS going to make us wait for Lumia Camera?

Apparently the Lumia Camera opened but I don't have Rich Capture available.

Nor DNG so I guess this must be Lumia Camera-lite 5.0

Can anyone confirm if that link works for the camera update?

Unless you're in Finland you won't see the Lumia Camera 5.0 in the Windows Store See for yourself. Windows Phonen sovellusten + pelien kauppa (Suomi)

You could try to set your location to Finland, disable location in settings and everything that shows your phone's location but without a Wi-Fi proxy to hid all of that you still wont be able to find 5.0 in the link I posted.

Anyway we won't see the Lumia 5.0 in Windows Store USA for DOWNLOAD no matter what we try here, and I mean here in the USA. Opening the link shows no INSTALL so we in the USA are SOL.

Yes, I am using Finnish Store but the app just shows in there for some reason

Ok, I managed to get it to install via that link by setting my region to Finland, disabling location services, turning on airplane mode and only using wifi. It installed and I cheered.

Then I tried to open it and it tells me I can't use it because I don't have denim. Wtf!!!!!!!

I'm on a Lumia 830 in USA on AT&T

Well I disabled DATA, changed location to Finland turned off location in settings and I downloaded and installed it. But is says Update Your Phone to Denim but it has Denim but it still it won't open. OK set phone back to USA restarted and still won't open. Odd thing that happened Nokia Camera was missing from my start screen just a blank square in it's place and in applications; photos+camera > default camera app was set to Lumia Camera by default & I didn't set it..

Try this: Open Lumia Camera and when it says that you don't have denim, press back button and close the app and open it again. Hope this helps.

So, it will install but it behaves somewhat strange. Makes me think there is another update that must come to the 830 for the full functionality to work.

It does not seem to have Moment Capture, or Rich Capture features. The only thing I'm noticing is the speed improvements.

Moment capture is there, just no rich capture

I tried the trick and worked but from time to time it tells me I'm not on Demin when I am. Guess gotta wait for the Canadian one. But other than that it works fine.

This makes me think there might be a bit more firmware needed for the app to function.

I too have installed the the Lumia camera app. Bravo..
But it isn't as good at capturing images as older Nokia camera/ Lumia Camera Classic was.

First of all,it captures the image on the dull side even with flash on. The same shot on Nokia camera/ Lumia Camera Classic is great with lighting conditions.

Second of all,it isn't capturing living images even if it is turned on.

Thirdly, while clicking '...' at the bottom to open the menu, there is a very noticeable lag. The transitions ain't that smooth either.

IT SURE HAS BECOME HELL A LOT FASTER (also includes MOMENT CAPTURE) BUT THE IMAGE QUALITY (in terms of lighting) ISN'T GOOD.
P.S: Maybe the much awaited firmware update would rectify it.
