How long should my battery take to charge?

Battery question

I bought lumia 730 2 days ago and my battery works for 7-8 hours after cont.use of wifi and it takes a lot of time to charge. is it normal? and how should I charge as its new, should i charge after complete discharge? should i charge to 100% in 1 go?

It is pretty good score under heavy usage

'lot of time' is relative term, charging depends on charger as well, a 1.5 Amp charger, should fill its 2200 mAh battery in about 2:30 to 3 hours...

Just avoid deep cycling, a partial discharge is better than a full discharge, a deliberate full discharge to calibrate a smart battery and to prevent “memory” is linked with nickel-based packs, Li-ion has the least stress when operating between 30 and 80 percent state-of-charge. Also keep in mind that total charge time can be deceiving because some phones charge very quickly for the first 80% or so, then slow down, with the final few percentage taking quite a long time...
