How much worth it is to buy a lumia 950/950xl when we all know Lumia line has ended?

I'm planning to buy a new windows phone, Lumia 950XL. I'm upgrading to this phone from L630. I'm not bothered about bugs and all as I'm used to windows and I love it. My concerned is as lumia series is dead how much worth it is to buy a Lumia 950xl looking forward at least three years in future. I'm putting a lot of money and I guess I might not be able to buy a high end phone again after 2-3 yrs. Or it will be better to wait for a surface phone.

Doesn't matter if it has ended or not. The software will still be developed and the 950-series are the highest end there is right now.

The only thing really going is the name. Microsoft will continue making excellent hardware.

If you buy a 950XL now, it will easily last 2-3 year and run Windows 10 Mobile with no loss of performance. My 1520 lasted for 2 years before I replaced it and it never felt old or sluggish - if I couldn't afford the 950XL, I would still be happy with the 1520.
