How to change notification ringtone?

Hi,

I'm currently using a Lumia 800. Lately I came across to this problem. I have whatsapp and 4th & Mayor installed on my phone with push notification. However, I could not find any setting that could change the notification ringtone. Is there a way to do so? I always get confuse with both notification as they sound the same. A change in the ringtones in the setting does not do anything at all. I suppose that ringtone is meant for Window Live Messenger or something but not whatsapp or 4th & mayor.

That functionality isn't available for Windows Phone 7 or 7.5. You'll need a Window Phone 8 device for that. Unless they sneak it into 7.8 but we don't know.

Thanks for your reply. Sad to hear that this simple feature is not available on windows phone. Could be one of the disadvantage of getting windows phone unless they have it in 7.8. Really hope so.
