Hi,
I get along with WP 8.1 alright but I have one massive issue:
I cannot download any files from my nas to my phone. All I can do is transfer files over USB which requires turning on my PC.
The synology nas's drives are available over wlan at home. Android has the excellent ES File Explorer app which makes file transfer appear to be no big deal.
There are some synology apps:
DS Audio Station let's you play your nas music drive - downloading impossible.
DS File Station allows you to access your files and you can download some but they will only appear temporarily in the office section of the phone. In addition there is no way to upload things.
Cloud Station, synology's offer for cloud computing, is not available for Windows Phone.
How can I access my nas? I have looked into some apps but they were only for music or media, not my prime concern...
