I'm thinking at&t. And yes I also have BAP using 8% all in my background. I thought I didn't set it up after a hard reset a ways back. But maybe when I fixed the APN problems it got pushed back in. Or maybe it just still uses that much looking for an update or something. This damn phone taught me two things.... Bye bye 🙋 Verizon. And HTC can rot in hell.👺 (liars)

Thanks for you feedback guys

I wish I could ditch Verizon, but unfortunately I wouldn't have service if I did. My biggest gripe with the M8 is that sometimes it forgets the apn settings which needs a reboot to fix (it did this even on Windows 8.1). Hopefully you can find a carrier that works for you though. :) ATT is probably the most windows mobile friendly, but anything gsm and you should be able to use the "newer" phones.

Back to the topic at hand: I haven't updated to the newer version (still on 15215.0) due to the camera issues mentioned above. I guess I'm thinking that unless there is something that comes in a new update that I really want, I'm at a good spot for this phone.

Be warned. I recently went to the newest build 15223 (I think). I have now been getting some MMS issues again. Not sure why. I haven't really dug into it yet. I know a soft reset offers a temporary quick fix, but it eventually does it again.

I have the same problem. Also, camera selfee mode still causes an auto-reboot if opening the camera from the quick links on a locked screen but after reboot works until the next time. It usually works fine if unlocking the screen before opening the camera. This has been an issue for many past releases so odd it hasn't yet been fixed yet as I have told Insider after each release. Landscape seams to now be working correctly. My large BAP background battery use somehow came back so BAP is using 50%+ of my battery but not making the battery hot yet and only running in the Background no "in-use" battery use as the App is not fully installed? I may have to do a hard reset again to see if I can put BAP back in minimal background remission as it was running <1% in 15063

Oh ya for those Verizon users...when I talked to Verizon technical support yesterday about the BAP issue, after 30 minutes going through everything again and then him seeing the info on my account from previous calls, he said he thinks Verizon is probably purposely making sure BAP doesn't work with W10 and causing the battery problems as they want their customers to drop Windows and pick Android or IOS phones as they don't plan to keep/add any Windows phone in the future and obviously they don't like Windows as they only offer the one old Lumia 735 with Windows. I also just checked the At&t website and they now offer "no" Windows Phones; you'd have to bring your own. I think we are in a losing battle trying to stay with Windows.

Yup that's what I have been learning. You can't get a windows from anywhere but Microsoft. Or used somewhere.
I think Microsoft wants the world to forget about it. Perfect there platform with surface and then everyone will go "did you here Microsoft makes cellphones" ... They want it to be fresh and cool.

The Windows Phone website has 5 phones but what use are they if Carries don't want to support them but are forced to. That means bad service and Verizon has their forced BAP issue. The new Surface Phone was supposed to be out already but I can't find any news on it now so I doubt they'll even finish it but that is what I have been waiting for or I would have switched to an Android a long time ago. If they do eventually release it, will any Carries even pick it up if they won't even offer current Lumias or other Windows Phones.

Thanks a lot Mathew... :) For those Verizon users... Somehow in the last 2 weeks my BAP started back up either with one of the updates or I mistakenly allowed it to download from the Store. Anyway, I did a hard reset and spent 4 hrs. setting everything back up again but.... I assume it will go back to <1% like it was but so far, NO BAP battery use. So, a hard reset, though a real pain to set back up, does still work to get rid of BAP if it starts eating your battery. I'll report back in a view days with 15226 overall performance.

Any feedback yet. Because I about through this phone into a river today. It seems like every time a new build comes out my phone immediately needs like 12 soft resets the next day. I noticed the battery was constantly inaccurate or not moving until a reset. I also had a lot of mms message problems also today. I can't handle these frustrations anymore 😤. This phone has become so unreliable lately.

I wouldn't upgrade yet to 15226. I'm having data issues and many soft resets still needed, just like you. Now I wish I had stayed on 15063 which was working fine. Give me a few more days to work with it.

Also, although its a real pain and takes 4 hrs. to get everything/settings set back up, if you are having too many issue I suggest a hard reset and start over. I did that yesterday and battery life is now way better.

So glad AT&T doesn't have that BAP thing.
As for build 15226, still under eval. Battery % still off, but not as bad. Only dropped 9% thru a reboot today. Haven't even tested screen auto bright. Still had screen rotation issues on 15225, haven't seen that yet. Cortana still has some speech recognition stumbles, but operates okay. Although there are times she doesn't catch the first word dictated. Phones and texts work fine so far, even thru uconnect.
(edit) only installed it last night....

I'm really having mms problems. I basically have to reset my phone when ever I want to check for massages. I receive no notification or alert that it even came in. I get a download icon in my message box. But when you proceed to download it, it won't work. You then have reset the phone. Then download the messages.
